Sugra News direction - sources

Sugra News is the news and events direction of the Sugra API: curated global headlines, the global event and media-coverage record, and public-attention metrics. In the live catalog, 26 endpoints carry the Global News and Media tag.

The direction mixes three source layers. The curated headline feed aggregates commercial media outlets, which are never named individually on public surfaces; that layer ships under the Sugra News brand. The event and attention layers come from openly named sources, listed below by tier. Endpoint counts are per-source catalog counts; every API response names the source that served it in meta.source.

Named project source (Tier C, vetted exception)

The article route serves the English file by default and the 15 stored translation languages when lang is set, at most 24 hours. Omit lang, or pass en, eng, or english, for the English file. A two-letter code maps onto a stored code: pt por, es spa, de deu, fr fra, it ita, ru rus, zh zho, ja jpn, ko kor, ar ara, hi hin, fa fas, tr tur, id ind, vi vie. Trending events include up to five article links. Recent events, events by country, and trending events stay on the English file when lang is omitted or is one of those English aliases. One of the 15 stored codes, or its two-letter alias, reads the translation stream. Any other code on those three routes is 422 language_not_stored. On the article route any other code is 200 with coverage language_not_stored.

GDELT is a commercial-tier catalog entry that Sugra names openly under a vetted exception. Every other commercial upstream in this direction ships under the Sugra News wrapper below.

Sugra News curated feed (Sugra-branded wrapper)

The curated headline layer aggregates 42 feeds across 11 regions and 7 categories and refreshes every 5 minutes. Upstream outlets are commercial media (Tier C), so they are presented under the Sugra News brand rather than by name; each item still carries its feed slug, region, and category for filtering.

Seven endpoints cover this layer: latest headlines, headlines by region, headlines by category, a single feed, keyword search, the feed catalog, and feed statistics. The current catalog of feed slugs, regions, and categories is returned by GET /api/v1/news/sources.

One per-symbol market-headlines endpoint also carries the Global News and Media tag; it belongs to the Sugra Finance market feed and is listed on the Sugra Finance sources page.
