OperationId:treasury_debt

Total public debt outstanding, updated daily. Returns the latest daily records, newest first. start_date and end_date narrow the answer to a record_date window: end_date= with limit=1 answers the value on or before that day in one small call. A windowed call returns only the newest limit records inside the window, never the whole window: limit defaults to 10 and is at most 100, so a window with more days than limit is cut at its older end.
