Dated legal name-change history from SEC submissions (formerNames), plus the current name, ticker symbols and exchanges - the primary-source company-identity changes a client tracks for re-mapping (e.g. Facebook Inc -> Meta Platforms, 2021-10-27). Ticker or CIK accepted. NOTE: the ticker-SYMBOL rename event stream (oldSymbol -> newSymbol by date) is not in submissions and is tracked separately (a forward-accumulating company_tickers.json diff, board DATA-5.9.1).
