OperationId:comtrade_trade

Merchandise trade between countries. Query by reporter, partner, calendar year, and trade flow (imports/exports). Values are in USD. Imports are reported on a CIF basis (cost, insurance, freight); exports on an FOB basis (free on board). primary_value carries the flow's native basis (imports CIF, exports FOB), and cif_value / fob_value are returned separately when the source provides them. To compare with customs-value sources such as US Census general imports, use fob_value: CIF runs a few percent higher because it includes freight and insurance. Source: UN Comtrade preview API.
